Zoomlion Unveils the World's Tallest and Largest Wind Power Tower Crane and Comprehensive Wind Farm Lifting Solution

On February 3rd, the world's tallest and largest wind power tower crane, the LW3600-240NB, was grandly unveiled at Zoomlion's ‌Changde Tower Crane Intelligent Factory‌ in China. Its maximum lifting height exceeds 241 meters, with a maximum lifting capacity of 240 tons, equivalent to hoisting 200 small cars to the height of an 80-story building. This marks a significant breakthrough in the field of high-tower, large-megawatt wind power hoisting. Zoomlion is emerging as a leader in providing complete tower crane hoisting solutions for wind turbines, injecting strong momentum into the industry's high-quality and sustainable development.




A New Industry Height! World's Tallest and Largest Wind Power Tower Crane Makes a Stunning Debut


On the same day, numerous representatives and technical experts from renowned enterprises in the fields of wind power, energy, construction, hoisting, and wind farm engineering design gathered at Zoomlion's ‌Changde Tower Crane Intelligent Factory. Huang Jianbing, Vice President of Zoomlion and General Manager of the Building Hoisting Machinery Branch, along with the management team, warmly received the guests. At 11:08 AM, with a command from the site, a 300-ton counterweight was smoothly hoisted via remote control from the ground, successfully completing the debut hoisting operation of the world's tallest and largest wind power tower crane, the LW3600-240NB.



The Zoomlion LW3600-240NB wind power tower crane is a new heavy-duty hoisting equipment developed specifically for the ultra-high tower, large-megawatt single-unit capacity wind power market. It boasts six core advantages: "outstanding lifting performance, small site area requirement, low ground bearing capacity requirement, strong wind resistance, industry-leading hoisting efficiency, and fast installation and relocation speed." With a maximum lifting height exceeding 241 meters and a maximum lifting capacity of 240 tons, it requires only a 35m*55m site footprint and a ground bearing capacity of just 0.18 MPa. It effectively meets current market demands for increasingly larger single-unit capacities, higher land requisition requirements, and stronger hoisting performance. It can also simultaneously cover various hoisting scenarios such as bridges, civil construction, nuclear power, thermal power, and chemical plants.



In the field of wind power tower cranes, Zoomlion has always led the industry. In 2021, Zoomlion's first wind power tower crane rolled off the production line, becoming the world's largest wind power luffing jib tower crane at the time. In 2025, the company released the world's tallest wind power tower crane, the LW2800A-200NA. Now, surpassing itself once again, Zoomlion has launched the world's tallest and largest LW3600-240NB wind power tower crane, simultaneously setting new records in hoisting height, technological advancement, and safety standards.

At this launch event, Zoomlion also innovatively proposed a complete wind farm tower crane solution for ultra-large wind turbines and hybrid-tower ultra-tall, large-megawatt wind turbines. Through product combinations and shared base frames, an efficient assembly-line operation mode is formed, easily meeting the hoisting requirements for wind turbines with a single-unit capacity of 10 MW or more and a hub center height of 200 meters or more.



During the concurrent strategic cooperation signing ceremony, Zoomlion, leading tower manufacturers, and several leading companies in the hoisting field jointly signed a tripartite cooperation agreement for wind power hoisting.
