Smart Technology Enables the Future! Zoomlion's Tower Cranes Lead at Bauma 2025

On April 10, local time, the 2025 Bauma Germany entered its fourth day, with the atmosphere still buzzing. Inside Zoomlion's bustling exhibition area, a striking "Aurora Green" steel long arm caught visitors' eyes. This R800-40 tower crane was the only tower crane from a Chinese brand at this year's Bauma Germany, and it is also the largest tonnage tower crane Zoomlion has ever displayed in the European market. Once again, Zoomlion demonstrated the excellence of Chinese intelligent manufacturing to the world.

"As a high-end, intelligent large flat-top tower crane, the R800-40 offers safe operation and high construction efficiency, making it widely applicable in bridges, stadiums, power construction, and other fields. We make full use of local manufacturing advantages: synchronized production in China and Germany, and assembly in Europe. This enables rapid supply of large‑tonnage tower cranes and provides full life‑cycle service support. Customers in the industry have given it high praise after learning about it," said a Zoomlion overseas representative.

In the European market, tower cranes must meet the requirements of the EN14439 standard. Equipment safety, stability, and environmental adaptability are highly valued, and Zoomlion tower cranes fully meet local customer needs. The R800-40 comes standard with safety features such as anti‑hook‑hang, anti‑load‑slip, anti‑two‑block, anti‑overload, and anti‑collision. The hoisting mechanism has dual brakes, and the lifting moment undergoes triple cross‑checking for greater safety. It also offers information security protection capabilities including password and facial recognition operation authorization, real‑time display of operating data, historical fault queries, and black‑box data storage. The mechanism's dynamic deceleration function, compact structural design, and multi‑boom combination have been well received.

In addition, Zoomlion showcased a handheld remote operation system for tower cranes on site. Visitors could remotely control a tower crane located in Changde, Hunan, using a handheld remote controller. Zoomlion first introduced its tower crane remote operation technology in 2019 and has continuously optimized and iterated it since commercialization. It is now being used safely and stably on dozens of construction sites. The remote operation system allows operators to control the crane without having to climb the tower, creating a safe and comfortable working environment. Many visitors expressed amazement after trying it.

Today, leveraging the world's largest intelligent tower crane factory, Zoomlion has launched a wide and diverse product range for the global market and built a customized tower crane platform covering all working conditions. Zoomlion's high‑end, intelligent, and green tower cranes are further expanding into overseas markets, becoming the first choice for more major engineering projects worldwide.
