Recently, the Hillhead International Construction & Mining Exhibition grandly opened in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK. Zoomlion showcased a range of customized earthmoving machinery and intelligent access equipment tailored to local market demands, drawing numerous customers for consultation and generating a steady stream of on-site orders.
In response to diverse working conditions in the UK, including municipal construction, rural development, and light earthmoving applications, Zoomlion highlighted eight customized earthmoving machines, covering mini, small, medium, and large excavators as well as skid steer loaders. All models have undergone specific optimizations to suit local operating environments and construction practices.

▶ ZE55GU new short-tail swing compact excavator: Primarily applied in urban construction, municipal maintenance, and rural renovation, it features a wide-angle left-right swing working device, significantly enhancing adaptability to various job site conditions and meeting diverse operational requirements. Optional attachments include narrow buckets, wide buckets, and dual-lock hydraulic quick couplers.
▶ ZE145GU excavator with short-tail swing design: With a rear swing of only 230 mm beyond the tracks, it easily adapts to confined urban construction sites. It supports three intelligent operating modes (Efficiency, Standard, and Comfort) that can be switched seamlessly. The high-power engine combined with a full electronic control system ensures lower fuel consumption and more precise adaptation to different working conditions.
▶ ZS090V wheeled skid steer loader: Equipped with hydraulic pilot control, it offers an optional 0.44 m³ heavy-duty bucket. It is suitable for municipal roads, pipeline networks, landscaping, subway projects, rural water conservancy, farmland and forestry operations, as well as small-scale earthmoving, demolition, and renovation works.
On the first day of the exhibition, Zoomlion’s booth attracted a bustling crowd, with both new and existing customers from across the UK and Europe coming to inspect the equipment and learn about its performance. In the live demonstration area, the ZE385G excavator was put through its paces by professional operators, vividly showcasing the machine’s sensitive, smooth controllability and outstanding job-site performance.
Many customers expressed strong interest and purchase intentions in Zoomlion’s earthmoving machinery. A local contractor commented: “Zoomlion’s earthmoving equipment fits our construction needs very well. The wide range of models available can meet the requirements of various projects. It’s clear that the company has strong localisation capabilities – a brand we can trust for the long term.”
