On June 16, at the headquarters research building of Zoomlion Smart Industrial City in Changsha, the 7th Zoomlion Science and Technology Innovation Conference was grandly held under the theme “AI Leads Innovation, Powering Global Expansion”. The conference featured a technology achievements exhibition and the main innovation forum, comprehensively showcasing Zoomlion’s recent R&D and innovation accomplishments. Chairman and CEO Zhan Chunxin, along with senior management and over a thousand R&D representatives, gathered together to attend this grand scientific event.
The conference’s technology achievements exhibition brought together over 130 innovative results from Zoomlion. Among them were the world’s largest-capacity 300-ton electric-drive hybrid mining truck, the world’s tallest 82-metre straight-boom aerial work platform, the world’s most powerful 700-horsepower hybrid wheeled tractor, and the industry-first 100-kilogram-class high-power hydrogen-fueled unmanned aerial vehicle，a string of world firsts and industry firsts that fully demonstrate Zoomlion’s pursuit of technological excellence. Also making a striking debut were cluster-intelligent technology solutions, the UTC tower crane intelligent driving system, and intelligent equipment such as humanoid robots, fire-fighting smoke-exhausting robots, and levee-inspection brush-clearing robots, immersing the audience in the deep integration of AI technology with equipment manufacturing.
It is noted that in 2025, the sales share of Zoomlion’s products integrating digital, intelligent, and green advantages has reached 74.5 percent. AI technology has moved from the laboratory to construction sites, mines, and farms worldwide, continuously creating value for customers.
At the main conference, Vice President and Chief Engineer Fu Ling delivered the 2022-2025 Zoomlion Science and Technology Innovation Summary Report, reviewing the company’s abundant R&D achievements and current technological development, and outlining the future R&D roadmap along the four transformations of digitalization, intelligence, greenization, and globalization.
At the ceremony, 84 Science and Technology Progress Awards, 16 individual awards, and 10 team awards were announced, covering dimensions such as outstanding product platforms, exceptional flagship products, ultimate-innovation products, major technological breakthroughs, key components, digitalization, intelligence, and greenization. The total prize pool reached RMB 22 million, fully reflecting Zoomlion’s outstanding R&D capability and vibrant innovation vitality, as well as its high regard for technological innovation and technical talent.
Among them, the Most Future Value Award was presented to the ZValley’s 1.3-metre bipedal humanoid robot project, which became the center of attention for its cutting-edge embodied intelligence and broad industrial prospects. The newly established Zoomlion Science and Technology Rising Star and Zoomlion Science and Technology Emerging Talent awards brought together a host of young R&D dreamers, vividly demonstrating the company’s sustainable, talent-rich innovation ecosystem.
On site, Vice President and Chief Engineer Fu Ling, together with the technical leaders of each business unit, led a solemn oath on behalf of the company’s 10,000-strong R&D team: We shoulder the mission of development, and strive unremittingly, forever, to build a world‑class advanced manufacturing enterprise.
Chairman Zhan Chunxin, in his speech, fully affirmed the company’s achievements in technological innovation. He noted that in recent years, the company has proactively adapted to the demands of overseas business transformation, deeply promoted the 4.0 and 4.0A innovation initiatives, driven R&D system reforms, and accelerated high-end, intelligent, digital, and green upgrades, yielding fruitful results. Now, the company has entered a critical period of accelerated globalization. Facing the historic opportunities of the AI era and the new competitive landscape of global markets, R&D innovation must continue to focus on the high-end, smart, and green transformation, effectively strengthen the translation of R&D results into practical applications, steadily advance the R&D going global process, and continuously optimize a favorable mechanism for innovation.
